How long will it take to process my Domain Transfer?
When you place your order for hosting, be sure to click 'domain transfer' on the order form and our system will automatically send a domain transfer request to Network Solutions for you.  If you did not purchase your domain from Network Solutions, then you will need to contact the company from whom you purchased your domain name and submit the domain transfer request.  If you do not know which registry your domain name was registered with, just look up your domain name here, and then press the "show me WHOIS output" button to see which company is listed in the "Registrar" section.

Once you have submitted a complete and correctly formatted Domain Transfer request, Network Solutions (assuming you purchased your domain from Network Solutions) will attempt to process your request. You will be notified via e-mail when processing is complete. This generally takes less than 24 hours - with some requests processed in as little as 10 minutes. The time to process a modification will vary depending on whether your request came from a recognized e-mail address, and the additional steps necessary, if any, to validate your request.

Once the database at Network Solutions has been updated, the information in Network Solutions database is shared with the Internet's root zone servers world wide; this sharing process is called "propagation." The zone files are propagated with new information daily, seven days a week, 365 days a year. We cannot control the rate at which the millions of name servers on the Internet are updated, but if your update reaches Network Solutions system by 7 p.m. Eastern Time, your changes should be visible on the Internet the following day.

You must call your Registrar if you want to find out why there is a delay in your domain transfer. We do not have any control over domain transfer delays unless you registered your domain with us.
